Ingredients
- 1 lemon-sized tamarind ball
- 2 tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp rasam powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves
- Oil for tempering
Steps
- Soak tamarind in warm water and extract juice.
- Boil tamarind juice with tomatoes, rasam powder, turmeric, and salt.
- Prepare tempering with mustard seeds, cumin, and curry leaves.
- Add tempering to rasam and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander and serve hot with rice.
