  1. Boil soaked chickpeas until soft.
  2. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, then sauté onions until golden.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add tomato puree and spices, cook until oil separates.
  5. Add chickpeas and 1 cup water, simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander and serve with rice or bhature.
