Kheer (Rice Pudding)

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup basmati rice
- 1 liter full-fat milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp chopped nuts (cashews, almonds)
- Raisins (optional)
Steps
- Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes.
- Boil milk, add rice, and cook on low heat until rice is soft.
- Stir frequently to avoid sticking.
- Add sugar, cardamom, and nuts. Cook until thick and creamy.
- Add raisins and simmer for 5 more minutes.
- Serve warm or chilled.
